Tag Tuesday
The theme for this weeks Tag Tuesday was EASTER EGGS. I love bunnies ( as you may know by now...) and when I found these little lovebirds sorry I mean "love rabbits" at clipartandcrafts.com I thought they fitted the theme perfectly. I used some feathers from my collection too. The tip of the feathers has the same blue color as the background but you can`t really see it very well on the photo.

Tag Tuesday
This weeks theme in Tag Tuesday was GOOSEY – geese and ducks. That made me think of Jemima Puddle Duck from the tales by Beatrix Potter so Jemima it had to be.

Tag Tuesday
The theme for this weeks Tag Tuesday is MAD MARCH – March hare and rabbits. I had so much fun when I made the recycled Easter egg bunny for the Friday tutorial so I decided to do another one. Technically speaking it’s no tag but it is a rabbit so I guess it’s okay anyway.

Birds
This weeks theme for Tag Tuesday is birds. Quite an appropriate theme for the south of Sweden where the birds have started to sing their very special spring songs and also have started building nests. So I made a birds nest of course. I also made use of my collection of birds feathers. Yes I collect that too....
Have a nice Tuesday

Books
The theme for this weeks Tag Tuesday was books. I have always read a lot. I was a book worm in my youth and teens and my dad used to drive my sister and me to the library because we used to borrow so many books that we had a hard time carrying them home. In times in my childhood I was quite lonely and bullied at school. The books became an escapism but in a good way. A world where I could be what I wanted and everything was possible.
I still read a lot but nowadays mostly during weekends and vacations. That is due to the fact that ones I get my hands on a really good book I can’t stop reading until it’s finished. Last time I staggered up in the morning to set out for work after just a three hour sleep I decided that this had to stop. I am too old for staying up all night reading…..

Tag Tuesday
POETRY AND PROSE
This week’s theme was poetry and prose. I like poetry and read it a lot. I used to like writing poetry too but haven’t done it for many years.
The Tag is inspired by artist Austin Kleon who is the author of Steal Like An Artist and Newspaper Blackout. I love his work and he has interesting thoughts on creativity too. He makes his poetry by using a newspaper text and a permanent marker eliminating the words he doesn’t need and thereby he creates a whole new meaning to the text.
Today I had very sad news about a colleague and friend. It had me thinking that life really is very unfair sometimes. So I made a very simple and very black tag using Austin Kleons idea about the newspaper and the marker. .
The words says:
Quietly silence disappear
Life becomes survival.

Tag Tuesday & Tea cozy
Here is my Tag for this weeks Tag Tuesday which had Valentine as its theme. I first planned to let the little cupid knit a heart since this week my blog is dedicated to knitting but didn’t have the time. Why? Well I was busy knitting something else….. a hat!
Next Saturday my husband and I are going to the Swedish “Alps ” together with our youngest daughter. My husband usually goes away for a week of skiing with both our daughters and I very happily stay at home. I don’t do that skiing stuff and have never really figured out the greatness about it. Why spend time in a scary ski lift just to end up staring down a steep, icy slope wearing a pair of slippery wooden planks? I don’t have that big a death wish…Anyway this year my eldest has to stay home to work and take care of her horse so I volunteered to tag along. I am going to work during the days, sitting in our cozy cabin and writing two big project reports and then I’ll finish the workday with some partying! I might not like skiing you see but have absolutely no problem with taking advantage of the fun stuff that comes with it….like an after ski party with a glass of red and some singing.
So I needed a warm hat and one that was ultra fast to knit at that. I was going for a kind of urban grunge chic kind of thing but I think I ended up with a tea cozy.
Do you want to knit a tea cozy of your own? No? Well you might like to buy some of the beautiful red wool yarn instead. Then you can buy it at my blog friend Marias shop
Have a great day!

Tag Tuesday
Hearts
The theme for this weeks Tag Tuesday was hearts. I put an old deck of playing cards to use. I called it "Will you be my king of hearts?"
I quite like the way she fondly looks up at the king. I hope she gets him in the end.

Tag Tuesday
Vintage was his week’s theme. For me vintage means something old with a soul. So an aged item isn’t always considered vintage by me. I have to feel that it has a soul too, which speaks to me in some way. I love antique shops, jumble sales and thrift stores and visit them often but I much rather leave with a piece of china that has a crack in it than something in mint condition.
I kept my tag really simple this week and named it “ A vintage soul”. The paper on the background is from a 120 year old book, a jumble sale find ( with a soul...) and the angel is a photo taken by me at an old graveyard here in my hometown. I finished by adding my January blue border.

Tag Tuesday
White
Jeanette
This weeks theme for Tag Tuesday was white.
When I thought about winter and the color white I got this image in my head of swans on ice. Lying there almost invisible with just the color of their beaks giving them away. The tag is created from that image of swans but was transformed into feathered wings and Anna Pavlova dancing the dying swan. I made a blue border like on last weeks tag. It will be my own “theme” for my January tags.

Loved making this one!

Tag Tuesday
Snow sports & games
This is my first Tag ever so I decided to keep it simple but I still had great fun making it though!
While I was making it I was thinking about the fact that I will have 50 more of these (hopefully) when the year is over and since it is a new theme each week they would also be a memento of my mood at the time… Not a mood board but a mood calendar…sort of…. All 51 of them framed perhaps? That got me thinking that the tags would look good, when framed, if each month had some tiny little resemblance – so for January it will be the blue border at the bottom.
Yep, there I was making the first one and already planning for what I was going to do when all of them were finished. That’s me in a nutshell. Good at living in the moment – not! I really must work on my mindfulness!
Hope you have a great Tuesday!

A daily challenge for 2012 ?
In the middle of December artist Cathy Cullis wrote a post about having a daily project during 2012. She wrote about the challenge of a daily project and how it would or would not appeal. I have been thinking about her post ever since, weighing the pros and cons for such a scheme. Should I take the challenge on? Would I have time for a daily project? Would it add something good to my creative life or just be stressful?
Finally I came to a conclusion. I do something creative almost every day and my life would feel very empty if I didn’t but I also would find it hard to stick to one thing everyday since my greatest joy is to try out new things. I am also very hard on myself when I set a goal and would force myself to live up to it. There would be a big risk of this turning into something I “had” to do instead of something I “wanted” to do. So I decided to not go for a daily project but a weekly project instead. I decide to join Tag Tuesday, a project where I get to try out different techniques but within a certain theme. Tag Tuesday is a weekly challenge hosted by Carolyn Saxby and you can learn more about it here. I have never made Tags before so it will be great fun to make one….hopefully I will find it a fun challenge the next 51 weeks too.
Up until now my Tuesday posts has been devoted to – Things I Love Tuesday but from next week on it will be Tag Tuesday instead. Welcome to tag along! ( sorry about that, just couldn’t resist it)
As I was thinking about Cathy’s post and daily or weekly challenges I suddenly realized that I was actually doing a weekly challenge already although I hadn’t really thought about it that way. I’m thinking about my Friday tutorials. Every Friday I post a tutorial, a DIY that you can try over the weekend if you like. The tutorial is usually something I myself have tried out during the week and then felt like sharing with you all. So I decided that I would continue with my Friday Tutorials during 2012 too.
So now I have two challenges for 2012 thanks to Cathy’s post!
